Golden Screen Film and Media Company is searching for an actor in his 40s, with a middle-eastern physiognomy (appearance), to play a leading role in the independent feature film ''The Dream Voyage''.
The film will be shot entirely in Erbil, Kurdistan.
The chosen actor will be flown to Kurdistan and be provided with bed and board during the time of filming. Salary is also included and will be discussed.
Short film description:
The Dream Voyage is a drama that takes place in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq after the fall of the regime of Saddam Hussein.
Character Description for Dara (age 40+):
Dara is part of the Kirkuk resistance against the Iraqi regime in the 1980s. He joins the Peshmerga (armed Kurdish freedom fighters), along with many others, in a struggle for Freedom. Dara marries his childhood love Lana, but during the war he loses her. He is left alone and later captured and then finally imprisoned by the Iraqi regime. After the fall of the Iraqi regime, Dara is released and revisits his hometown Kirkuk.
For this audition you will film yourself acting out the scenes with Dara, that I will send you by email. When you are done filming the audition footage, you will send them to our email, which I will provide you with.
